This map uses graffiti on roadside utility poles and walls as its markers. By extracting graphic elements from photographed graffiti collected during field research, I aim to explore how text can function not only as a carrier of information but also as a form of geographic texture and materiality. These diverse graffiti scattered throughout the streets of New York form a unique urban fabric that belongs to the city alone.
